There is nothing more enjoyable than working with this creative, beautiful duo that is Soul de Soul! Soul de Soul is an Oklahoma City based traveling dance workshop, co founded by Hilary McAlister and Mackenzie Martin-Crosley as a way of sharing their passion for dance with other young artists.

This was one of my most humerus shoots!  I adore this family, and I "tried" to warn them of the abandoned location with rough terrain that we'd be marching through...  but it wasn't enough to prepare them for the cactus filled field who's current residents happen to be a pack of bees.  Did you know that bees are attracted to bright colors?  Dad was already less than pleased to be wearing a yellow shirt (which I happen to think he looked smashing in) ...  the bees were VERY excited about the yellow shirt, as a matter of fact, he was the most popular one in the group!

I can look back on it now and giggle... although I was extremely nervous in the moment about the bees! No one got stung!

Happy almost Friday friends!  I think this is my 3rd red head in 2 weeks! LOVE-ING IT!

This precious beautiful girl turned 12 this week.  Hubby refers to her as the renaissance girl! (mostly referring to her stellar musical interest that go beyond her years).

Ashton refused to let me take her 12 year old pics in the snow this year (I was very disappointed).. so we were a few days late, waiting on Mother nature to stop dumping snow in Oklahoma!

So here she is... 12 years

Not sisters... cousins

Every time I have these girls together someone asks if they are sisters.... "No, they are cousins"

they are pure joy to be around!

Meet Ella Grace, my favorite 7 year old.

I remember when her mom was pregnant with her, I remember her precious face as baby, I remember her long strawberry hair as a toddler, and keep thinking - WOW,  7 years have FLOWN!

 

Happy 7 years beautiful!  Thanks for always shining in front of my camera!

My other brother...

The weekend before Christmas I was able to shoot my handsome younger brother and his beautiful family!  We also found out that same day, THEY ARE EXPECTING BABY #2!!!!

I am so excited for them and THRILLED to finally have another baby in the family!
