I shot this gorgeous family in their new home.. freshly built and boxes still to unpack!  Their home is truly beautiful and so unique. I loved every square inch of it!   Its always inspiring to be around such creative people, now only if I can get them to let me move in....

I hope everyone had a wonderful thanksgiving! Ours was perfect, lots of family, wonderful food, friends, wine, and shopping.. I did wait until 5 AM black Friday to get started on the shopping, but Christmas shopping is well over 1/2 complete! 

I went 2 days without touching my Canon or Photoshop!!  Now.. I'm playing a little catch up!

She's only been breathing on this planet for 2 months and this is my 4th time to photograph her!  How lucky am I!!

Her proud daddy asked if they were the only family on the planet that was photographed this much... I said no, but I think I may ask him to buuld me a studio in their home! :)

THANKFUL~

I'm sitting in my very own home on a Sunday night at 7:30, and something seems "off"?  I realize I am not surrounded by the same 11 girls that I have spent every Sunday night with for the last 9 weeks!

I had the privilege of leading 11 - 7th grade 12 and 13 year old young ladies (including my oldest daughter) as we went through Vicki Courtney's HIS GIRL bible study!  This course goes through several issues that young women face during these impressionable years. Our discussions were open, lively, and always more inquisitive that I could have imagined.  Let's just say these young ladies were NOT afraid to ask the tough questions and more often than expected, I was left a little red-faced and squirming in my seat! We discussed topics ranging from anti-conformity, to purity and boundaries, to self-worth. and prince charming  ... each time learning what God's plan is for us, and understanding that HE loves us and wants to protect us.

These young ladies are the 7th graders on our DCMS competitive cheer team.  I knew about half of them and their parents really well.  Over the 9 week period I grew to love them.. each of them.

I never in a million years expected the response on the last day that came from these big hearts.  The girls were appreciative, thanking me again and again.  My heart felt like it would explode as one young lady stood before the group and told me just what the last several weeks had meant to her and the rest of them.

I am confident that they left this study...... closer to God.

I am so thankful for EACH and EVERY one of these young ladies, along with their amazing parents!
I am thankful for every laugh we had and every tear shed!

THANKFUL!!

Today and every day, I am thankful for this force that I call, my youngest child!

I'm thankful for her will that drives me up the wall and pushes me to the limits, but lets me know that she will never go down without a fight. I'm thankful for the most amazing hugs on the planet, the way we always seem to be holding hands, all the times she says "I love you mommy" just out of the blue, and most of all, I'm thankful for her excitement of life.

It was pure joy meeting this family!  They drove all the way from Marlow, OK for their family session... a place I've only visited once, but know its quiet a jaunt!  Beautiful Gabby and I instantly became friends, she did amazing for a 3 year old and all it took was the promise of some time in the playground that was teasing her from over the little hill!

THANKFUL!

So incredibly thankful to call this beautiful young lady my child! 

This is such a stressful/busy time of year for me, If I'm home, I'm camped out at my computer trying to meet my own self inflicted deadlines.. and this angel, more often than not, willing jumps in to help with dinner picking up and even homework with her little sister.

She blesses me!
